Lillian Pengilly

Lillian Pengilly, age 94 of Park River, ND passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Lillian Hatlestad was born August 19, 1916 in Forest River, ND the daughter of the late James and Anna (Nelson) Hatlestad. She attended schools in Alsen, ND and Adams, ND. Following her education she did babysitting, worked at the Bookwalter Hotel in Adams. She later worked in the café in Adams, the potato plant in Grand Forks, ND and the Grafton Developmental Center in Grafton. Lillian was united in marriage to Richard Pengilly on Oct. 19, 1960 in Edinburg, ND. She retired in 1982 and has lived in Park River since. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center on April 12, 2010. Lillian is survived by her husband Richard of Park River, ND and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Russell, Edmund, Donald and Fird. Funeral services will be Monday, October 11, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
