Lillian M. Lapic

Lillian M. Lapic, age 99 of Lankin, ND passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Lillian M. Pich was born November 11, 1910 near Lankin, ND the daughter of the late John and Marie (Jedlicka) Pich. She attended rural schools near Lankin and in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada. She worked as a cook in a hospital in Fargo prior to her marriage to Lloyd Lapic in November of 1947. The couple made their home in Lankin. Lloyd passed away on Sept. 1, 1998. Lillian moved to the Good Samaritan Center in June of 1998. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Lankin. Lillian is survived by her children: William F. Hodny, Mandan, ND; Laddie Hodny, Gillett, WI; Johnny Lapic, Lankin, ND; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd and 13 brothers and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Lankin in the spring.
