Lila M. Lee

Lila M. Lee, age 89 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Lila M. Wiste was born March 24, 1923 near Adams, ND the daughter of the late Peter J. and Mabel (Ward) Wiste. She attended schools there. Lila was united in marriage to Albert E. Lee on June 22, 1941 in East Grand Forks. While Albert served in the armed forces, Lila lived in Adams and was employed at the Johnson Store. After Albert's discharge the couple made their home in Grafton. In 1954 they moved to the farm near Edmore, ND and lived there until moving back to Grafton in 1994. Albert passed away on Dec. 27, 1996 and Lila moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in 2010. She was a member of the former Vang Lutheran Church near Fairdale and the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and WELCA in Grafton. She also belonged to the Sons of Norway in Fairdale. Lila is survived by her sons: Danny (Diana) Lee, San Marco's TX; Donald (Vicki) Lee, Lahaina, Hawaii, two grandchildren: Kristin (Darren) White, Winter Garden, FL; Brett (Melinda) Lee, Marietta, GA; three great grandsons: Hunter and Connor White and Preston Lee, siblings: LeRoy (Evalon) Wiste, Adams, ND and Lorraine (Glen) Brett, Kennewick, WA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Vang Lutheran Cemetery near Fairdale. Memorials are preferred to the Vang Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
