Liam Curtis "Bubba" Askim, age 3, was called to Heaven from his home on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Liam was born April 11, 2012 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The son of Curtis and Cindy (Gilley) Askim and little brother of Lily Askim (Lankin, ND) Devin Watters, Destiny Gilley and DeziRay Gilley (Cotter, AK). Liam grew up as a country boy and cowboy near the family farm in Lankin; farming is in his blood. He's daddy's right hand man, Liam loved to ride and drive with daddy, especially in tractors and combines. Liam was his mommy's whole world, a mommy's boy; he spent days in her arms. Momma was number 1; no one came close to the love they shared. He loved when his sister, Lily, would hold him and kiss him and she would lovingly respond, "Oh Bubbas!" He loved to be with Grandpa Arlyn and have grandpa whisper in his ear and Liam would take off Papa's hat and glasses. Liam would stay with Papa as long as possible. Liam was Papa's warrior and Papa was Liam's hero. He and his Grandma Veronica had a love and concern that was indescribable and untouchable; beyond this world. They loved each other as kindred spirits and understood each other. She understood his language and loved him as much as he loved his Grandma. Liam loved everybody. His smile would light up a room and everyone in it. He spread joy and inspiration to all those who knew him. Liam loved to be held and kissed and gives kisses, he loved everyone he met. He would flirt to put you in the palm of his hand. Liam loved his special Grandpa Keith and Grandma Judy and the fun things they would do with him. They loved him as if he was one of their own grandchildren. Liam touched the hearts of many special people in his life and they will not forget him, nor will they be forgotten. Liam is survived by his parents and siblings.
