Leonard “Lenny” Misialek, age 91 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
Lenny Misialek was born October 2, 1925 in Drayton, ND, the son of the late Andrew and Katherine (Misialek) Misialek. He served in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of World War II. He served aboard the U.S. Louisville in the South Pacific. Following his discharge he returned to the Grafton area and worked in the construction business for his entire life.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Lenny was a VFW member and a life time member of AmVets. He enjoyed cards, watching TV, pool and driving his little red Neon. He loved to have visitors and visiting his friends at the local taverns. He was known to his friends by his nickname “Bull”.
Lenny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Bruno, Joe and Richard; sisters: Christine Pykosz, Josephine Sondeland, Irene Elshaug, Martha Elshaug and Eleanor Birk. Lenny was the sole surviving member of his family. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grafton City Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors.
