Leonard P. Lipsh, age 64 of Fordville, ND died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at his home in Fordville. Leonard P. Lipsh was born November 18, 1943 in Pisek, ND the son of the late John G. and Antoinette (Tuma) Lipsh. He grew up and attended school near Pisek. Following his education he worked as a farm laborer in the Walsh County area. For the last 30 years he has been employed by the McMillan Farms in Fordville, ND.
Leonard loved to fish with his best friend Lynn Sluke and talking farming with his buddies at Waldo's.
Leonard is survived by siblings: Daniel Lipsh, Fordville, ND; Betty McMillan, Fordville, ND; Mayme (George) Jarus, Pembina, ND; Ron Lipsh, Luxemburg, WI; Donnie (Geraldine) Lipsh, Lankin, ND; children: Diana, Tammy and James Chandler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Ann, Brother John "Buddy", brother-in-law; Gary McMillan and special friend Karen Chandler.
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, September 1, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Park River, ND. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery of Veseleyville, ND.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River is in charge of the arrangements.
