Lavonne C. Cataldi

Lavonne C. Cataldi, age 61 of Colorado Springs, CO and formerly of Mountain, ND, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Lavonne C. Steinolfson was born December 10, 1952 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Magnus and Adeline (Domstad) Steinolfson. She attended elementary school in Mountain and graduated from Edinburg High School. She attended NDSU in Fargo, ND and received a degree in nursing. Following her education she worked Woodland Hospital in Cullman, Alabama. She later moved back to Grand Forks, ND and worked for Valley Memorial Homes. She was united in marriage to Robert Cataldi on July 18, 1987 in Grand Forks. The couple moved to Colorado Springs, CO and she worked for various home health agencies until her health forced her to retire in 2010. She was a member of the Mountain American Legion Auxiliary. Lavonne is survived by her husband, Robert, of Colorado Springs, CO; sons: Jeff Penn and Mark (Tai) Penn, both of Cullman, Alabama, three grandchildren: Logan, Weston and Anna Grace Penn, twin sister, Louise Sigtryggsson, Colorado Springs, CO; brothers: Magnus "Manny" Steinolfson, Brooklyn Center, MN; Steingrimur "Stoney" (Glenna) Steinolfson, Bloomington, MN and Curtis (Gloria) Steinolfson, Milton, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Orin.
