Laura A. Carson

Laura Carson, age 86 of Hoople, ND passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.

Laura A. Wendelbo was born Feb. 5, 1935 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Axel and Laura Wendelbo. She graduated from Grafton High School. Laura was united in marriage to John Carson on November 3, 1957 at Grafton Lutheran Church. The couple lived and farmed near Hoople. John passed away on Dec. 7, 2016. Laura moved to the Park River Good Samaritan Center on June 15, 2020.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and WELCA of Hoople, the Hoople American Legion Auxiliary and the local Birthday Club.

She is survived by her children: Mark (Jeanne) Carson, Hoople, ND; Joan Carson, Larimore, ND and two grandsons: Paul and James. Laura was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Paul John and siblings: Marvin, Marion, Helen, Elaine and Alice.

Memorial services will be Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church of Hoople, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery, Hoople, ND.
