Arthur Kim Bylin, age 64 of Adams, ND passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at his home in Adams. Kim was born August 5, 1951 in Grafton, ND the son of Arthur C. and Doris (Berg) Bylin. He graduated from Adams Public School and was a member of Sarepta Lutheran Church and Mountain Lutheran Church. Kim married JoAnn Kovarik on December 15, 1972. They made their home in Adams where they raised four children. Kim started farming at a young age and was actively farming; completeing his harvest at the time of his death. Kim served on the council of the Sarepta Church Board and later as a Vice President of the Adams Parish. He was a board member of the Lankin Farmer's Union Elevator. He was currently serving as mayor of Adams. Kim enjoyed country music, his old John Deere tractors and most of all, his grandkids. He loved going for tootles'; looking for deer and checking his crops, backyard fires, counting in Spanish and deer hunting. His creative sense of humor will be missed by all those who knew and loved him best. Kim is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, JoAnn; daughters: Rachel (Eric) Loraas, Crookston, MN; Kristie (Jordan) Zeller, St. Paul, MN; sons: Scott (Nikki) Bylin, Pisek, ND; Nicholas Bylin, Park River, ND; grandchildren: Dylan, Hannah, Jase and Graham, his mother, Doris Bylin, Adams, ND and mother-in-law, Lydia Kovarik, Park River, ND; siblings: Jan Bylin, Fargo, ND; Lory (Beth) Bylin, Adams, ND and Julie Bylin, Kingston, WA. Many other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Daniel and father-in-law, Charley Kovarik. Funeral services will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Mountain Lutheran Church of Adams. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Mountain Lutheran Church of Adams. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sarepta Lutheran Cemetery, rural Adams.
