Kerry Martinson

Kerry Lynn Martinson, age 59, of Norfolk, VA, moved on to his forever home, Saturday March 25, 2023, at his residence from natural causes.

Kerry Lynn Martinson was born June 1, 1963 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Martin and Violet Martinson.  He lived with his family in St. Thomas, ND where he graduated from St. Thomas High School.  Kerry was united in marriage to Jennifer Martinson on December 24, 2017 in Norfolk, VA. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was a kind, diligent, respectable, dedicated, generous, quiet, and strong man. He was a loving husband, brother, son, father, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer Martinson, Norfolk, VA; four children: Shane (Misty) Wagner, Superior, WI; Chasidie (Dave) Ratliff, Wahpeton, ND; Philip Brown, Norfolk, VA;  Justin Brown,  Lisbon, ND; two sisters: Marilyn (Robert) Watkins, Minneapolis, MN;  Faith Wheeler, Minneapolis, MN;  two brothers: Allen (Myrna) Martinson, Grafton, ND;  Dale (Sue) Martinson, Grafton, ND;  Aunt, Connie (Bill) Mantor, Fridley, MN;  Aunt, Wanda Thompson, Long Prairie, MN;  and 16 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Violet Martinson, his brother-in-law, Richard Wheeler; his nephew, Nathan Martinson and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kerry will be having two services. Funeral services being held in Norfolk, Virginia will be Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. with a visitation at 5:00 P.M. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 8464 Tidewater Drive Norfolk, VA. Funeral services being held in Grafton, North Dakota will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grafton Lutheran Church, 143 W 5th St, Grafton, ND 58237.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
