Keith F. Hamley, age 51 of Grafton, ND and formerly of Rolla and Belcourt passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Keith F. Hamley was born February 17, 1963 to Leo and Elsie (Pearman) Hamley. He lived with his family near Rolla, ND and graduated from Bottineau High School. Keith continued to live with his family after his education until 2000 when he moved to the Grafton Developmental Center where he has lived since. Keith was very active at the Developmental Center. He sang in the All Faith's Choir and helped out where needed around the center. He was an active member in the Catholic Church, the Westwood Park Community Choir, Spirits United Aktion Club and the Community Helpers Group. He volunteered for many activities in the community like: Shopping with Santa, Park River Bible Camp, St. Gianni's Bulb Project, the Spring Thing for Kids, Relay for Life, the Edge, SOS (Save Our Strand), he assisted in making shamrocks that were delivered by the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at the Lutheran Sunset Home. Keith shared his talents with many. He spent countless hours singing and telling jokes to residents of the Lutheran Sunset Home and included that act in the ND's got Talent Show. He traveled with the Westwood Park Community Choir performing Christmas and Easter Stories. He was always the friendly face at the tattoo station for Spring Thing for Kids, Kids Games at Summerfest or at the concession stand at the football games. Keith was the first to raise his hand to volunteer to help the Aktion Club or Kiwanis Club. The last big project he helped in was the Hats and Mittens Project. He helped put tags on the hats and mittens that were delivered to the schools in Grafton for the children in need. He has had various jobs in the Grafton area and was known by many; once he met you he never forgot your name. He was a very outgoing and caring person. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was drawing. He took great pride in his art and shared that art with others. Keith is survived by his aunts: Catherine Fogarty, Lidgerwood, ND; Maxine Pearman, Renton, WA; Audrey Brewer, Arizona, Maryann Hamley, Belcourt, ND. He is also survived by numerous cousins and all his family who cared for him at the Grafton Developmental Center. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:45 PM at the All Faith's Chapel of the Developmental Center. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt, North Dakota in the spring.
