Karl Allen Dahlgren

Karl Allen Dahlgren, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Karl was born October 18, 1958 in Park River, ND son of the late Myron and Theresa (Burianek) Dahlgren.  He lived at home with his family until his second birthday, when he moved to the Life Skills and Transition Center in Grafton.  He remained there until moving into a home supported by R.E.M., Inc. in 1999, where he lived until his passing.

Karl loved people, it was very important to be around his family, friends, and staff.  He worked at Friendship which he enjoyed and loved to sell water around town.  Karl’s favorite things were to listen to the radio, go walking, the beauty of the sun, and giving out hugs to anyone that needed one.

He is survived by his siblings: Colleen (John) Kram, Bismarck, ND; Roland Dahlgren, Lankin, ND; Doreen (David) Drinkard, Horseshoe Bay, TX; Fred (Bobbi) Dahlgren, Truth & Consequences, NM; Malcom (Margot) Dahlgren, Adams, ND; Doris Dahlgren, Grafton, ND; Daren Dahlgren, Arizona; Erleen (John) McCanna, West Fargo, ND; Noel Dahlgren, Osnabrock, ND; Oreen Kirkpatrick, London, England; Franceen Maroney, Maple Grove, MN; many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.  Karl was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A private family burial will take place at St. Catherine’s of Lomice in Lawton, ND.
