June M. Skjerven

June "Dolly" Margaret Skjerven June Skjerven, age 88, of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Lutheran Sunset Home. She was born June 17, 1926 in rural Grafton the daughter of the late John and Johannah (Anderson) Elshaug. June was a lifelong resident of Grafton. On September 10, 1945 she married the love of her life, Harvey Skjerven. Together they raised three children, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Joel. As a homemaker, she loved making crafts, baking and crocheting and embroidery. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years. June was a member of the Grafton Lutheran Church. June is survived by her sons: Jeffrey (Bonnie) Skjerven, Grafton, ND; Joel (Colleen) Skjerven, Minocqua, WI; and daughter, Jennifer (Howard) Welch, Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters: Helen (Millard) Torkelson and Marilyn (Hans) Hovde. Sadly, she lost her beloved husband, Harvey on October 27, 2014. Although we miss her, we know that they are happy together again. Services will be held in the chapel of the Lutheran Sunset Home at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
