Julia T. Lee

Julia T. Lee, age 103 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Julia T. Steen was born February 12, 1912 in Gardar, ND, the daughter of the late Amund and Oline (Holmyren) Steen. She grew up in the Edinburg area and attended rural country schools near Edinburg. She later moved to Grafton where she met the love of her life, Ted. Julia was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Lee on October 24, 1940 in Crookston, MN. The couple made their home in Edinburg and raised their family there. Ted passed away September 3, 2006. Julia continued to make her home in Edinburg until the time of her death. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA. Her family was her main focus; she loved to spend time with them. She liked to crochet, sew, bake and garden. Julia is survived by her daughters: Glenna (Stoney) Steinolfson, Bloomington, MN; Cheryl (John) Hess, East Arlington, VT; grandchildren: Caryn (Wayne) Buxengard, Christopher (Alisha) Steinolfson, Kevin (Carrie) Steinfolson, Steven (Tanya) Steinolfson, Adam Hess and Amanda (Tracy) Stevens, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theodore "Ted", son, Michael, siblings: Anna, Mary, Emma, Amanda, Carrie, Olga, Alda, Myrtle, Alfred, Axel, Glenn, Lenore and two infant sisters. Funeral services will be Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Edinburg.
