Judy K. Hurth

Judy K. Hurth, age 67 of Adams, ND passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home.

Judy Hakes was born April 24, 1958 to the late Virgil and Kathryn (Greene) Hakes in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was raised and attended school in Cadott, WI. Judy attended college and began working. She welcomed her beloved children Desiree, Bill, and Shane and raised them in Chippewa Falls.

In 2012, Judy began a new adventure and moved to Adams, ND. She loved the peace and quiet of country living in North Dakota. She worked in Adams until her retirement in 2020. In her retirement, she loved spending time with her good friend Roger. They enjoyed going to movies, out for dinner, thrifting, and taking care of her houseplants. Judy was a proud mother and grandmother and loved her family very much.

Judy is survived by her children: Desiree Hakes (Joshua Glass), Minooka, IL and Bill Hurth (Dawn Petska), Cornell, WI; her grandchildren: Jasmine, Tyler, Chance, Chase, and Sophie; her sister Pamela (Gary) Goss, Pharr, TX; and good friend Roger Steele. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Shane; and her siblings: Ralph Hakes, Sharon Hunt, and Dale Hakes.
