Judith C. Vigen, age 73 of Adams, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the First Care Health Center of Park River.

Judith C. Moore was born September 12, 1943 in Langdon, ND, the daughter of the late Stewart and Ella (Byron) Moore. She attended and graduated from Mountain High School. She worked as a CNA in Maddock, ND. Judy was united in marriage to Nils Vigen on February 14, 1964 in Cavalier, ND. The couple made their home near Adams. She was a homemaker and raised her children. She began working at First Care Health Center and in 2004; she graduated from Lake Region State College, Devils Lake, earning her LPN degree. Nils passed away November 17, 2006.

She was a member of the Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA and the Adams Legion Auxiliary.

Judy is survived by her children: Glen (Nancy) Vigen, Fargo, ND; Lynell (Dan) Johnson, Mentor, MN; grandchildren: Brett Vigen, Matthew and Tyler Johnson; great granddaughter, Emmy Johnson; her dog Elsie; siblings: Stewart (Lois) Moore, Grand Forks, ND; Dorothy (Allan) Robinson, Minto, ND; Thomas (Rose) Moore, Edinburg, ND; Tim (Sylvia) Moore, Mountain, ND; Susie (Ron) Borgen, Langdon, ND; Alfred (Teresa) Moore, Drayton, ND; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Richard Sellheim, Adams, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nils, sister, Martha Johnson and in-laws, Glenn and Lillian Vigen.

Funeral Services will be Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Mountain Lutheran Church, Adams, ND. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7:00 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the West Adams Cemetery, rural Adams, in the spring.
