Judith M. Bowen

Judith M. Bowen, age 72 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Unity Medical Center of Grafton.

Judith M. Slovik was born September 25, 1943 in St. Paul, MN the daughter of the late Florent and Charolette (Kleinhaus) Slovik. She graduated from South Saint Paul High School in 1961. Judith worked as a receptionist at a clinic for a time then worked as a switchboard operator for Divine Redeemer Hospital and Riverview Hospital in St. Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to James Bowen on May 13, 1967 in West St. Paul, MN. The couple lived in the metro area until 1976 when they moved to Thief River Falls, MN. The couple moved to Hallock, MN in 1979 and in 1982 moved to Grafton, ND where they have resided since. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts in Thief River Falls, MN.

Judith is survived by her husband, James, Grafton, ND; son Jeff (Wendy) Bowen, Winnipeg, MB Canada, and two granddaughters: Taryn and Cassie Bowen, Winnipeg, MB. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Grafton Lutheran Church, Grafton, North Dakota. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Unity Medical Center or Grafton Lutheran Church.
