Josephine M. "Jo" Findring, age 84 of Grafton, ND died Friday, July 04, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Josephine M. Weigal was born November 26, 1923 in Burnstad, ND the daughter of the late Rochus and Josephine (Fettig) Weigal. She grew up and attended schools there. Josephine was united in marriage to Lloyd Dawson in 1950 in Oaks, ND. The couple lived in Grafton and Warren, MN. He passed away in 1964. Jo married Duane "Farmer" Findring on November 2, 1967 at the South Trinity Lutheran Church near Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton where Jo worked as a Supervisor at the Grafton Developmental Center for over 30 years.
Jo was a member of the South Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA.
She is survived by her husband Duane "Farmer", Grafton, ND; son Richard (Linda) Dawson, Minneapolis, MN; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and sister Mary Meisch, La Moure, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, son Robert, daughter Janet, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM at South Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
