Josephine Conlon

Josephine Conlon, age 96 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, September 08, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Josephine Misialek was born on April 16, 1917 near Auburn, ND, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Pykyz) Misialek. She attended school in St. Thomas. She was united in marriage to Terrance "T.J." Conlon on July 22, 1939 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. There were four children from this marriage: Judith Ann, Margaret Sherian, Terrance Richard and Randy Jon. Josephine was employed at the Grafton State School for 20 years. Her husband passed away in 1996 and she moved into her apartment at Leisure Estates in 2005. She had many friends from her old neighborhood and met new friends at the Lutheran Sunset Home. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Eagle's Auxiliary, and Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She is survived by her children: Judi (Dick) Shellabarger, Lake Metigoshe, ND and Las Vegas, NV; Terry Conlon, Euclid, MN; Randy (Roberta) Conlon, Crookston, MN; grandchildren: Dawn Smart, Marjery Baetsch, Paul Bruce, John Bruce, T.J. Conlon, Christy Mallon, Richard, Chariti, J.R. and Jenni Jo. She was preceded in death by her husband T.J. in 1996 and daughter Margaret Bruce in 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 6:15 P.M. and a rosary to follow at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery of Grafton. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society, St. John's Catholic Church, the Lutheran Sunset Home, or the Grafton Hospice.
