John H. Wambem

John H. Wambem, age 83 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Sheyenne Care Center of Valley City, ND. John H. Wambem was born March 19, 1930 in Park River, ND the son of the late John and Flora (Henrickson) Wambem. He grew up and attended schools near Lankin, ND. Following his education he started farming with his father. John was united in marriage to Lois Johnson on Sept. 12, 1954 at Hoff Lutheran Church. The couple lived and farmed near Park River. He moved to the Sheyenne Care Center in December of 2013. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. John is survived by his wife, Lois of Park River, ND; sons: Alan, Gary and Daryn Wambem, all of Park River, ND; and his nephew, Myron Wambem, Tacoma, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Andrew. Funeral services will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:30 PM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Cemetery, rural Park River.
