John J. Kowalczik

John J. "Jack" Kowalczik, age 69 of Ardoch, ND passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. John J. Kowalczik JR. was born November 24, 1940 near Warsaw, ND the son of the late John and Dorothy (Czapiewski) Kowalczik. He attended school in Ardoch, ND. Following his education he worked as a carpenter in the Walsh County area, most recently for the Brodeur Construction Company. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a great cook and loved to create his own recipies. Jack could make jerky out of anything. He loved to spend time with family and friends and was known for being very conservative. Jack is survived by his special friend, Debby Lunski, Ardoch, ND; his daughters: Jackie (Bob) Janorschke, Eucilid, MN; Jeanne (Terry Bergman) Kowalczik, Grand Forks, ND; Kristen (Ryan) Pastorek, Grafton, ND; step-son Bill Lunski, Ardoch, ND; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and brothers: Dan Kowalczik, Detroit, MI; Robert Kowalczik, Las Vegas, NV and Gary Kowalczik, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Ardoch, ND.
