John "Jack" H. Pederson

John H. “Jack” Pederson, age 52 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Grafton passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016 at his home in Grand Forks.

John Henry Pederson was born January 28, 1964 in Grafton, ND the son of Jarl and Audrey (Eng) Pederson. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1983. Following his education he started working with his father at Jarl Pederson and Sons Painting. Jack was united in marriage to Ruth Demester on June 13, 1987 in Grafton. The couple moved to Grand Forks in 1989 and he ran the Grand Forks office. In 2007 Jack became the owner of Pederson Painting which he operated until his death.

Jack loved the outdoors. He loved working in his yard and drinking his morning coffee on the deck. He loved spending time with his family and dogs and spending time at the lake.

He is survived by Ruth Pederson, Grand Forks, ND; his children: Jarred Pederson, Grand Forks, ND; Kate Pederson, Denver, CO; his mother, Audrey Pederson, Grand Forks, ND; his brothers: Tim (Debbie), Puyallup, WA; Dan (Lori), Federal Way, WA; Randy, Grand Forks and Brad, Hillsboro, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, Jarl, brothers: Joey and Keith, his sister, Nancy and his grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
