John M. Forbord

John M. Forbord, age 67 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. John M. Forbord was born September 14, 1941 in Minto, ND the son of the late Alfred and NonaBelle (Myers) Forbord. He grew up attended school in Minto, graduating in 1959. John was united in marriage to Elizabeth Stoltman on September 15, 1962 in Minto. In 1964 the couple moved to Grafton where John worked as a hair stylist at Verna's Beauty Shop. He later worked at Simonson Gas Station, Wally's Grocery Store and Denny's Grocery Store, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton. John is survived by his sons: Scott Forbord and Todd (Tracy) Forbord, both of Grafton, ND and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife on Dec. 1, 2002. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 10:30 A.M at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
