John L. Ebertowski, 91 of Warsaw, ND passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Valley Eldercare of Grand Forks, ND. John L. Ebertowski was born March 18, 1921 in Pulaski Twp, Walsh County, ND, the son of the late John B. and Martha (Piekarski) Ebertowski. He was united in marriage to Stephie Kosmatka on November 22, 1943 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND. The couple made their home north of Oslo where they raised their four children. He farmed all his life in Pulaski Twp. John was a dedicated caregiver to his daughter Karen. He was also devoted to visiting Stephie and Karen at the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton. Karen passed away May 4, 2003 and Stephie passed away November 30, 2004. John then moved to his favorite home in Warsaw. He continued to make his home in Warsaw until he moved to the Good Samaritan Assisted Living in East Grand Forks, MN. In November 2009 he moved to Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND where he resided until the time of his death. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the PNA. John loved to play his Fiddle, spend time with his family and friends. He liked to dance, play cards, hunt and trap. He had a great sense of humor. Your life has touched many people, you will never be forgotten. John is survived by his children: Sandy (Jim) Neil, East Grand Forks, MN; Ron Ebertowski, Minneapolis, MN; John "Jackie" Ebertowski, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Tina Coauette, East Grand Forks, MN; Tricia (Shannon) Sersland, Grand Forks, ND; Tammy Neil, East Grand Forks, MN; Travis (Jenny) Neil, Grand Forks, ND; Kari Ann McKellep, Minneapolis, MN; Mary Ebertowski, Grand Forks, ND; John T. Ebertowski, Dilworth, MN; 16 great grandchildren. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Stephie, daughter Karen, five sisters and one brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
