Joann L Veum

JoAnn L. Veum, age 60 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.

JoAnn L. Mattson was born February 28, 1957 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Elvin and Nina (Olson) Mattson. She was baptized and confirmed at Grafton Lutheran Church. She attended schools in Grafton and graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor’s in Education. She married Scott Veum in 1978. The couple moved to California where she worked as an administrative assistant for Chandler Lumber Company. JoAnn returned to Grafton in January of 2014.

JoAnn is survived by her siblings: Allen Mattson, Grafton, ND; Bertha Ann (George) Kasprick, Grand Forks, ND; Ardis (Tony) Olson, Drayton, ND; Maurel (Sylvia) Mattson, West Fargo, ND; Mardell (Dale) Niswonger, Warsaw, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Grafton Lutheran Cemetery.
