Jeannette Coker

Jeannette Coker completed her journey Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born to Cyrus and Johnnie (Radford) Coker on May 25, 1940 at Rosebud, TX. After Rosebud High School and Temple Jr. College, she worked as a medical secretary at Scott & White Hospital, Temple, TX. She chose and fulfilled a lifetime commitment to love and honor the Lord, since age 13. She entered the ministry in 1961, joining a co-worker who was serving her 51 ^st year. In 1964 she went to West Mexico where she labored for 20 years, living and teaching the Bible. She spent years in NM, TN, TX, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. A great joy was to attend, as a visitor, countries in the Middle East.

Her last years were in ND, where she dealt with health issues while continuing to have a part in the mission work. Then in this last year, she was diligent in efforts to regain her capacity to walk and speak, so she could again join co-workers in sharing God’s story of His Son. She loved being part of the ministry Jesus ordained. Jeannette reached out to others, and had spiritual bread to share in homes always. She was known for her smile and contentment. Her daily purpose with her loving, giving spirit was to help others draw closer in fellowship with God.

She leaves with special memories: Carolyn (Hugh) Hughes, John (Ginny) Coker, Leona (Wayne) Rutherford, JoeAnn Norris, Bernie (Jack) Coker; seven nephews, one niece and a host of relatives, friends and fellow ministers.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Minto Community Center, Minto, ND. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service at the community center. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery.
