Jeanne Lynn Craig, age 76 of St. Thomas, ND, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026 at her home.
Jeanne Burger was born June 5, 1949 in Drayton, ND, the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Anderson) Burger. She grew up and attended school in St. Thomas. Following her education she worked as a caregiver at the Life Skills and Transition Center and later as a farm laborer for Gilleshammer/Thiele Farms.
She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. Thomas. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, playing cards, completing puzzles, watching TV, especially the Minnesota Vikings and Golden State Warriors, and reading.
Jeanne is survived by her longtime partner Rafael Contreras, St. Thomas, ND; children: Tami (Dwayne) Craig, Jennifer Contreras, and Amanda Craig; grandchildren: Kurt Craig, Kaylee Bjorneby, Frank Contreras Jr., Austin Contreras, Desirae Morin, Braxton Contreras, Tristyn Craig, Justyce Wallery and Kyla Wallery; great grandchildren: Cambrie, Emmit, and Lydia Contreras, Amari and Harvey Contreras, and Thomas and Yana Morin; her fur grandbaby Sweetie Pie; siblings Earl Burger and Diane Campbell; and son-in-law Frank Contreras Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Troy Dale Craig; and siblings: Evelyn Boulduc, Alice Eide, Norman Burger, and Sharon White.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. The family request those in attendance to please come in their Minnesota Vikings or Golden State Warriors attire. Interment will be at the St. Thomas City Cemetery in the spring.
