Jeanette French Lizakowski

Jeanette Margaret (French) Lizakowski, 95, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home, Grafton, ND. Jeanette Margaret Lessard was born June 7, 1918, the daughter of Alfred E. and Alvina (Demers) Lessard. Jeanette attended school at St. Aloysius Academy in Oakwood, ND. On November 13, 1939, Jeanette was united in marriage to Raymond J. French, at Drayton, ND. They farmed for several years before moving to Grafton, ND in September, 1949. Raymond passed away on August 19, 1967. Eight years later, Jeanette married Earl S. Lizakowski on December 27, 1975. Earl passed away January 21, 1989. Jeanette was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and making quilts. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Jeanette is survived by her children, Ronald (Patricia) French, Grand Forks, ND; Donald French, Ladysmith, WI; Gary (Napa) French, Mounds View, MN; Roger (Sheila) French, Marion, IA; and stepchildren Dolores (Meryln) Grabanski, rural Grafton; Joan (John) Schumacher, Drayton, ND; Arnold (Barbara) Lizakowski, Bloomington, IL; Shirley (Jon) LaMont, Fargo, ND and Roger (LeAnn) Lizakowski, Bloomington, IL.; and many Grandchildren, Step grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Step grandchildren. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Raymond and Earl; daughter, Judith French and step daughter Darlene Lizakowski, step grandsons Jason Schumacher and Bryan Grabanski; brothers Frederick and Maurice Lessard, and sister Blanche Lessard. Jeanette was the last surviving member of her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Oakwood, ND.
