Jean T. Knaus

Jean T. Knaus, age 99 of Minto, ND passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Jean T. Feltman was born January 5, 1914 near Warsaw, ND the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Selma (Schuster) Feltman. She attended Harriston School District 121. Following her education, Jean worked for area families. She was united in marriage to Stanley Knaus on November 3, 1937 in Warsaw, ND. The couple made their home in Minto. Jean worked at the Bil-Vi-Dor Hotel in Grafton for many years and later worked at both cafés in Minto. Stanley passed away on March 28, 1977 and Jean remained in Minto until January of 2010 when she moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home. Jean was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society and the Minto American Legion Auxiliary. Jean is survived by her sons; Roland Knaus of Livermore, CA and Wilfred Knaus (Jan) of Minto, ND; her siblings: Wallace (Evelyn) Feltman, Grand Forks, ND and Magdalene (Bill) Culbertson, Riverside, CA. She was preceded by parents, husband, brothers: Steve, Winslow and John and sisters; Steffie, Rose, Luella and an infant sister, Cyrilla. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10;30A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Minto. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
