Janet Marie Midgarden

Janet Marie Midgarden, age 66 of Park River, ND passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at her home in Park River. Janet Marie Hall was born December 20, 1944 in Park River, the daughter of the late Charles O. and Stella M. (Benson) Hall. She attended school in Lankin and Park River, graduating from the Walsh County Agricultural School. She attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND. Following her education she worked at the North Dakota State Mill and Elevator. Janet was united in marriage to Joel Midgarden on April 12, 1964 in Park River, ND. The couple made their home in rural Hoople, ND until 2006 when they moved to Park River. Janet was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and WELCA, rural Hoople, ND. She was active with the Countryside Homemakers group, Bridge Clubs, Walsh Curling Club and the Hillcrest Golf Club. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her husband Joel, Park River, ND; daughters: Nicole (Randy) Dub, Horace, ND; Barbara (Brian) Marks, Bird Island, MN; grandchildren: Elizabeth and Alexandra Dub and Samuel and Maxwell Marks; brothers: Gordon (Inez) Hall, Grafton, ND; Curtis (Carol) Hall, Helena, MT; Conrad (Julie) Hall, Park River, ND; Thomas (Christine) Hall, Kent, WA; Dennis Hall, Cascade, MT; Larry (Kaye) Hall, New Castle, WA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hoople, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River, ND. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
