April 15, 1939 — March 2, 2021

Janet D. Lauzon, age 81 of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Woodside Village of Grand Forks surrounded by her family.

Janet Williamson was born April 15, 1939 in Hollywood, CA, the daughter of the late Bruce and Elizabeth (Waslaski) Williamson.  She grew up and attended school in Langdon, ND until the family moved to Grafton her freshman year.  She graduated from Grafton High School and later attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN for two years.  She was united in marriage to Oscar Lauzon on September 20, 1958 in Grafton, ND.  The couple made their home in Grafton until moving to Valley City in 1960.  She was employed as a legal secretary for many years, retiring in 1999.  Following their retirement, they wintered in Arizona for 18 years.

She was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Valley City, the Red Hats and PEO.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing and playing cards.

Janet is survived by her husband, Oscar, Grand Forks, ND; children: Todd (Christine) Lauzon, Grand Forks, ND and Teryl (Scott) Clendenin, Portland, OR; 4 grandchildren; sister Carol (Tom) Nix, Surprise, AZ and brother-in-law Robert Lingen, Fargo, ND.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn.

A private family service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton.  A video of the service will be posted on Janet’s obituary on the Tollefson Funeral Home website following the service.
