James J Lahaise

James J. LaHaise, age 63 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his home in Grafton.

James LaHaise was born December 13, 1958 in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Victor and Pearl (Friet) LaHaise.  He grew up in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1978.  Following his education, he worked for Schumacher and Sons for a number of years and for Jarl Pederson Painting.  He moved to Grand Forks where he oversaw a half-way house for many years.  He returned to Grafton where he worked for Grafton Park and Rec until his health forced him to retire.  In recent years he enjoyed his daily check-in calls with his friend Cindy.

James is survived by his sister Delores (Kenny) Dusterhoft and brother David LaHaise, both of WA, as well as 2 nephews and 1 niece.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.  Jim, you mattered and will be dearly missed.
