James C. Ellingson

James C. "Jim" Ellingson, age 90 of Adams, ND passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. James C. Ellingson was born November 26, 1920 in rural Adams, the son of the late Olai and Clara (Egge) Ellingson. He attended school in Adams. After his schooling James began farming and later enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He then returned to Adams where he farmed then worked construction. James was united in marriage to Anna Kovarik on November 17, 1953 in Crookston, MN. The couple made their home in Adams. James moved to the Good Samaritan Center in September 2010. James was a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and the Qually-Dvorak American Legion Post in Adams, ND. James is survived by his wife: Anna Ellingson, Adams, ND; children: Gail (Dean) Osowski, Drayton, ND; Jennie (Marshall) Gray, Stanley, ND; Janice Hillebrand, Billings, MT; Jim (Jaunita Lentz) Ellingson; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy (Donald) Boe, Adams, ND; Mae Skalicky, Avon, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law Roxie Ellingson, sisters: Ann and Olga and brothers: Tilford, Ray, Maurice, Donald, Olie, and Ronald. Memorial services will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church of Adams, ND. Friends may call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the West Adams Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Qually-Dvorak American Legion Post.
