Isabelle D. Copeland

Isabelle D. Copeland, age 93 of Crystal, North Dakota passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at her home near Crystal.

Isabelle Dolan was born February 23, 1931 in Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late John McDonald and Virginia (Dolan) Cromwell.  She graduated high school in New York and received her R.N. from Gracie Hospital in New York.  Isabelle was united in marriage to Thomas Copeland on August 10, 1951 in Kings Point, New York.  The couple made their home in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and settled in North Dakota.

She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Crystal and the Homemaker’s Club.  She enjoyed cooking, reading and going to church.

Isabelle is survived by her children:  James Copeland, Crystal, ND; Mary Louise Copeland Johnson, Crystal, ND; Patricia Ann (William) Copeland Wade, Tucson, AZ; grandchildren:  Victoria, Thomas, Glenn Michael, Tianna, Robert and Riley; great grandchildren:  Danica, Layne, Dakota, An’juan, Odin, Adeline, Magnus, Braunn, Alice, Asher and one on the way; sisters:  Virginia Greeno, Jodean Warner and Louise Adler.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and husband Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Crystal at 9:00 a.m.  Inurnment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to St. Jude.
