Isabel E. Korynta

Isabel E. Korynta, age 92 of Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Isabel E. Schultz was born November 12, 1917 in Ardoch, ND the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Gornowicz) Schultz. She attended school in Minto, ND. Isabel was united in marriage to Edward F. Korynta on April 17, 1934 in Minto, ND. The couple made their home in Minto until the early 1940's when they moved to Park River where they have resided since. Edward passed away in July of 1996. Isabel moved to the Good Samaritan Center in March of 2006. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and Altar Society of Park River, ND. Isabel is survived by her children: Madonna Sperling, Crookston, MN; Lucille Berdahl, St. Cloud, MN; Adrienne Moe, Kirkland, WA; Karen (Bert) Nelson, Richland, WA; Julenne (Keith) Anderson, Park River, ND; Duane (Judy) Korynta, Coon Rapids, MN; Keith Korynta, Grand Forks, ND; sisters: Jean Tanke, Grafton, ND; Zenona Murach, Nielsville, MN. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, children: Roseann Johnson and Michael Korynta, three sisters and two brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Park River.
