Isabel C. Klave, age 107 of Minto, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Isabel C. Kosmatka was born October 29, 1901 in Pulaski Township of Walsh County, ND. She was raised by her grandparents and attended school at the St. Stanislaus Convent in Warsaw, ND. Isabel married Leo Klave Jr. on November 11, 1924 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw. She lived most of her life in Minto before moving to the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Good Cheer Homemakers Club, Degree of Honor and the Sacred Heart Altar Society. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and was an excellent seamstress.
Isabel is survived by her daughter Irmine Gornowich, Renton, WA; son Leo (Alexia) Klave, Walker, MN; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, half-brother Florian Kosmatka, Grand Forks, ND; half-sister Marion Bancroft, Grand Forks, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, brothers: Michael, John, Frank and Joseph Jr.; half brothers: Casmer, Barney, Ambrose, Raymond, Dominik and half sisters: Frances Knudson, Regina Clingman, Dominka Lealos, Adeline Grabanski and Bernice Hollarn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Minto, ND. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
