Irene Kilichowski, age 87 of Minto, ND passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton, ND.
Irene Eurich was born September 25, 1921 in Dunseith, ND the daughter of the late David and Eva (Kraft) Eurich. She grew up and attended school there. Following her education she worked in the Dunseith area. She moved to Michigan and worked in the defense factories. She married Kenneth Lake in Bay City MI in 1947. The couple lived in Bay City until 1963 when they moved back to Dunseith. In 1967 they moved to Grafton where Irene worked at the Grafton Developmental Center. Irene was united in marriage to Theafil Kilichowski on May 25, 1990 in Minto, ND. The couple made their home in Minto. She moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in August of 2007.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Moose Lodge.
Irene is survived by her husband Theafil, Minto, ND; daughters: Gloria Lizakowski, Hoople, ND and Penny (David) Lizakowski, Minto, ND; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sisters: Irma Peltier, Rugby, ND; Betty Nerpel, Dunseith, ND; Olynda (Ydola) Pigeon, Dunseith, ND; Marie Beachlor, Rugby, ND; Eva (Bob) Paulson, Rugby, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Bruce, sister Frieda and brothers: Fritz and David.
Memorial Mass will be Monday, December 22, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Minto, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 P.M. with a prayer service at 4:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the American Cancer Society.
The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
