Inga Elton

January 10, 1910 — April 5, 2009

Inga C. Elton, age 99 of Lawton, ND passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Inga C. Moe was born January 3, 1910 in Shepherd Township of Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late Halvor and Ingebjorg (Skogen) Moe. She attended rural school near Lawton and later attended the Walsh County Agricultural School in Park River. Following her education she worked in the cook cars for area farmers. Inga was united in marriage to Oliver Elton on December 3, 1929 in Grafton, ND. The couple lived and farmed in Shepherd Township. He died March 1, 1958. Inga continued to live on the farm in the summer months and spent the winters in Grafton, ND or living with her daughters. While in Grafton she worked for the Jack Shablow family. She moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton in January of 2005.

She was a member of the Vang Lutheran Church and WELCA of rural Fairdale.

Inga is survived by her daughters: Adeline Tollefson, Great Falls, MT; Evalon (LeRoy) Wiste, Adams, ND; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother: Clarence (Bernice) Moe, Grand Forks, ND; two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters: Christine (Clarence) Lee, Carrie (Leonard) Daughtery and infant sister Mabel and son-in-law: Howard Tollefson and three nephews..

Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lutheran Sunset Home Chapel, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Vang Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fairdale.

The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
