Ida E. Feltman, age 89 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton.
Ida Emma Sevigny was born April 26, 1928 in Oakwood Township of Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late Simeon and Clara (Demers) Sevigny. She grew up and attended schools in Oakwood, graduating from the St. Aloysious Academy. Ida was united in marriage to Steve Feltman on June 28, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oakwood. The couple lived and farmed in Acton Township. Ida worked as a sales clerk at the Reyleck’s Department store for several years. She later worked and volunteered at the Lutheran Sunset Home. Steve passed away on March 8, 1988. Ida moved to Grafton in the fall of 2000.
She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was active in the church quilting group and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Ida is survived by her children: James (Pat) Feltman, Round Rock, TX; Janet (Gary) Kaeding, Fargo, ND; Julianne (Tom) Fennell, Nolensville, TN; Thomas (Jennifer) Feltman, Morris, IL; Susan (Lloyd) Fugleberg, Roseau, MN; Steven Feltman (Carla Kirwin), Grand Rapids, MN; Therese (Kelly) Adams, Manhattan, KS; Christine Pribula (Mitch Roy), Grand Forks, ND; Robert (Pam) Feltman, Lino Lakes, MN; 20 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, siblings: Doloria Dusek, Glendale, AZ; Sr. Rose Therese, Valley City, ND; Shirley Suda, Grafton, ND; Donald (Diane) Sevigny, Hoven, SD; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Sevigny, Grafton, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Jonathan Adams; her siblings: Wilfred, Fabien, Peter, Agnes and Lola.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. John’s Catholic Church of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
