Henrietta M Swartz

Henrietta M. "Hena" Swartz, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL and formerly of Lankin, ND passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 in Punta Gorda, FL.

She was born in Pisek, ND on September 3, 1923 to Henry and Rose (Praska) Dvorak.  Hena attended school at St. John's in Pisek.  She was united in marriage to Rolland Swartz of Lankin, ND on May 14, 1946.  She lived and farmed in Norton Township, Walsh County, North Dakota from 1946-2013.

She was a loving mother that always loved having family together at any time.  In her later years she enjoyed playing bingo and meeting with friends at the senior citizens center in Lankin and later the Good Samaritan Center in Park River.

Hena is survived by her two sons: Kenneth Swartz and his wife Diane of Lankin, ND and John and his wife Marina of Cape Coral, FL; former daughter-in-law Lana Swartz (Johnson) of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Kelly (Fernandez) Swartz husband Alex, Tampa, FL Michael Swartz and wife Amanda (Spear), Harwood, ND; sisters: Marie Erickson, Evelyn Myerchin, Rosalie Kalal, and Lucie Sobolik; as well as great grandchildren: Samuel and Elenor Fernandez and Bristyn and William Swartz.  She was preceded in death by her parent, husband Rolland, and brothers: Herman and Joseph Dvorak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery of Lankin.
