Hazel Kilcollins

Hazel Iona Kilcollins, age 91 of Rapid City, SD, formerly of Grafton, ND, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Fountains Springs Nursing Home of Rapid City, SD. Hazel Martin was born August 11, 1922 to Pearl Martin in Drayton, ND. She married the love of her life Frank Kilcollins on June 12, 1946 in Duluth, MN. He passed away on December 20, 1967. Out of this union one child, their daughter Shirley, was born in February 1947. Hazel enjoyed traveling to Alaska when her daughter Shirley lived there. She would stay months at a time enjoying the time with her grandchildren. After Shirley moved to Rapid City, SD, Hazel visited a lot and eventually moved and lived with Shirley and Ralph Marshall for the last 5 years.. She loved sightseeing, taking drives through the hills, shopping, taking care of her flowers, eating out, barbeques, and sitting on the front porch visiting with family. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Gold (Ralph Marshall), her grandchildren: Mark (Kim) Swenson, Fairbanks, AK, Sherri (Tim) Brown, Fairbanks, AK, Sheila (Steve) Hankens, Naples, FL, Richard Mayer, Wasilla, AK, 11 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, sister Nora Rose, brother Ernie Martin, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grafton Federated Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Grafton City Cemetery.
