Grace A Brodeur, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Grace A. Demers was born July 14, 1933 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Albert and Amanda (Durand) Demers. She grew up and attended school in Oakwood, ND, graduating from St. Aloysius Academy. Following her education Grace worked at the Grafton National Bank. She was united in marriage to Paul Brodeur on June 23, 1953 in Oakwood. The couple made their home in Grafton where the couple raised their six children. At the age of 49, Grace started her own ceramic business called the Ceramic Shelf. She owned and operated the business for 13 years. Grace was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic church and Altar Society. She is survived by her husband, Paul Brodeur, Grafton, ND; six children: Albert (Celeste), Clarksville, TN; Ramona (Peter) Keeley, Bemidji, MN; Paula (Gordon) Winterlin, Dakota Dunes, SD; Bill (Julie), Fargo, ND; Lee (Betsy) Greensboro, NC and Sandi, Grafton, ND, 17 grandchildren: Brian Brodeur, Jonathan Brodeur, Christopher Keeley, Joseph Keeley, Anne Christensen, Daniel Winterlin, Jessica Hoffman, Jeffrey Winterlin, Amanda Brodeur, Nicole Johnson, Luke Brodeur, Sydney Brodeur, Julia Brodeur, Lauren Brodeur, Sam Tweten, Charlie Tweten and Chloe Tweten, 12 great grandchildren and her sister, June French, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
