Gilbert C. Latraille

Gilbert C. Latraille, age 80 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Gilbert Clifford Latraille was born January 26, 1932 in Leroy, ND to Clothida Latraille and his step-father Frederick Jerome. He attended school in Leroy and later lived in Walhalla and Grafton, ND. Following his education he worked construction in Seattle, WA and various places in North Dakota, including the Nekoma Missile Site and the Matejcek Dam near Lankin. He was united in marriage to Caroline Jane Rollness in July 1965 in Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton. He later worked for Kingsbury Farms near Grafton until his health forced him to retire. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Free Mason's Union. Gilbert is survived by his children: Tracy Harris of Astoria, OR; Lori Latraille, Grafton, ND; Jeff and Joey Latraille, both of Grafton, ND; three grandchildren and siblings: Stanley Jerome, Lankin, ND; Eva Welsh, Grafton, ND; Susie (Elmer) Derringer, Walhalla, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Leonard and twin brother Richard, granddaughter Elena Jane Garcia. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
