George E. Lindtwed

George E. Lindtwed, age 73 of Crookston, MN and formerly of Milton, ND passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Riverview Health Center of Crookston, MN. George E. Lindtwed was born July 24, 1940 in Cavalier, ND the son of the late Clarence and Irine (D'Heilly) Lindtwed. He graduated from Milton High School in 1959 and graduated from the North Dakota State School of Science in diesel mechanics. He returned home and farmed with his father. George was united in marriage to Elaine Henderson on June 30, 1962 in Sidney, MT. The couple lived and farmed near Milton. In November of 2013 they moved to Crookston, MN. George was a member of the Milton Lutheran Church, Milton Masonic Lodge, and the Milton Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the Milton Memorial Cemetery Board, the East Alma Township Board and the Milton/Osnabrock School Board. George is survived by his wife, Elaine of Crookston, MN; children: Randy, Fargo, ND; Ryan (Sandy), Crookston, MN; and Renee (Tommy) Colvin, Schriever AFB, CO. Six grandchildren: Heather, Jordan, Shelby, Courtney, Joshua and Justin and three great grandchildren: Madison, Hunter and Paisley. He is also survived by his siblings: Charles (Vicki), Lake Havasu, AZ, Alice Landsgaard, Wahpeton, ND; and Helen (Larry) Pederson, Trego, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: JoAnn McCoy and Wilma Rodacker and granddaughter, Rachel Elizabeth. Funeral services will be Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Milton Lutheran Church, Milton, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 PM and Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Milton Memorial Cemetery, Milton, ND in the spring.
