Gayle Ann Swartz

Gayle A. Swartz age 59 of Lankin, ND passed away on Sunday, August 05, 2012 at First Care Health Center of Park River. Gayle Ann Swartz was born May 24, 1953 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Dale and Alexa (Votava) Swartz. She attended school in Pisek, ND. The family spent summers on the family farm near Lankin, ND and in 1987 she moved into Lankin. Gayle was a member of the former Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA of Lankin and was currently attending Victory Free Lutheran Church in Park River. Gayle loved her friends and family with joy and laughter. She always remembered everyone's name and greeted them with her smile and teasing nature. She rarely missed a community event or an opportunity to add to her collection of angels. We will dearly miss our beloved angel. She is survived by her sister Cheri (Mike) Bata, Sioux Falls, SD; nephew: Nick (Emily) Bata and niece Robyn Bata, both of Minneapolis, MN; grandmother Blanche Swartz and great-aunt Marge Machart; and longtime special friend and companion Leland Denault. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Victory Free Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Lankin, ND.
