Gary D. Christinson

Gary D. Christinson, age 69 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009 in St. Thomas, ND. Gary D. Christinson was born July 31, 1940 in Pelan Township, MN the son of the late Frank and Julia (Martinson) Christinson Sr. He attended school in Karlstad, MN. Following his education he moved to St. Thomas where he started working for Skelly Oil. He was united in marriage to Janice Kliniske on November 21, 1959 in St. Thomas. He later worked for the Standard Oil Company, then started Christinson Oil which he owned and operated for 25 years. He sold the business to Petersen Oil in Drayton, ND but continued to manage the bulk oil. He was currently working for Northdale Oil. Gary will be deeply missed by his family. He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Janice of St. Thomas, ND; children: Randy (Rosemary) Christinson, Lance (Kris) Christinson and Leigh Ann (Terry) Christinson all of St. Thomas, ND; eight grandchildren: Krystle, Nicole, Kyle, Kaine, Nikita, Taryn, Anthony and Aaron; brothers: Frank Jr. (Audrey) Christinson, Cavalier, ND; David (Liz) Christinson, Strathcoma, MN, Duane (Colleen) Christinson, Hamilton, ND; mother-in-law Rose Kliniske, St. Thomas, ND; special friend Ethel Torgeson, St. Thomas, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, St. Thomas, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Calvary cemetery of St. Thomas.
