Fred J Thompson

Fred Joseph Thompson, age 53 of Fargo, ND formerly of Grafton and Park River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Fred was born September 3, 1966 in Grafton, ND the son of Wallace and Lucyle (Hankey) Thompson. He attended Park River area schools from 1970-1991. From there Fred joined the day program at Friendship, and later began working at All Season’s Laundry, where he worked for 12 years. In October, Fred moved to Friendship 2505 in Fargo where he lived out his life.

Fred loved attending Mass on Saturday morning at All Faith’s Chapel in Grafton. He loved pop-tarts and the Big Mac combo meal at McDonalds. His favorite TV shows were Cops and Wheel of Fortune. He loved to listen to Johnny Cash music, summers at the Park River Bible Camp and gathering with friends and family at the farm. He enjoyed being around people, food, baseball and riding the golf cart, four wheeler and gator.

Fred is survived by his mother, Pud Thompson, sisters:Mary Thompson and Jane (Steve) Bjornstad and his brothers: Jack (Mary) Thompson, Mark Thompson, John (Jane) Thompson, Luke Thompson, 13 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and sister-in-law, Shari Thompson.

Funeral services will be held when the restrictions of COVID-19 are lifted.
