Frances Johnson

Frances E. Johnson, age 88 of Fargo, ND and formerly of Grafton, ND died unexpectedly at her home in Fargo on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Frances E. Welter was born March 14, 1920 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Peter and Tracy (Gigler) Welter. She graduated from High School in Grafton.  She was united in marriage to J.A. Rudolph Johnson on April 26, 1940 in Grafton. The couple lived and farmed near Grafton until his death on October 11, 1972. Frances remained on the farm until moving to Grafton in 1992. In 1999 she moved to Fargo.

Frances is survived by her children: Sharen Johnson-Cutler, Lacey, WA; Duane Johnson, Castle Rock, CO; Terry (Rocky) Johnson, Fargo, ND and Linda (Lynn) Oby, Bismarck, ND. Five grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Roy, Lawrence, Frank and Glenn and sisters: Evelyn and Gladys.
