Floyd L. Seeba, age 83 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at his home near Grafton. Floyd L. Seeba was born July 21, 1925 in Acton Township of Walsh County, ND the son of the late William and Martha (Penno) Seeba. He attended the Distrcit #57 School in Acton Township. Following his education he farmed with his father. Floyd served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953. Following his discharge he returned home and continued farming. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Franklin on February 1, 1964 in Grafton. The couple lived and farmed near Grafton. He also worked for M.D. Collette for 36 years. Floyd retired in 1990.
He was a member of the Grafton Lutheran Church, Grafton American Legion Post #41 and a life member of the V.F. W.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Seeba, Grafton, ND;children: Sherry (Tomi) Roinila, Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, Dave (Marcia) Seeba, Grafton, ND; Holly (Rick) Aamold, Buxton, ND; grandchildren: Kayla & Marissa Odstricil, Chris & Tyler Seeba, Emma Mae Aamold, two step-grandchildren: Matti & Jari Roinila, his Aunt Margaret Dietrich, Cavalier, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Kenneth and sisters: Gladys, Hattie, Blanche, Mabel and Lorraine.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and Friday for one hour prior to the service all at the church. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41.
