Florence M. Umphrey

Florence M. Umphrey, age 63 of Inkster, ND passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Florence M. Umphrey was born May 12, 1948 in Bagley, MN the daughter of the late Oliver and Edith (Lietz) Swenson. She attended schools in Bagley. Florence was united in marriage to Raymond Umphrey on April 2, 1966 in Roy Lake, MN. The couple moved to Inkster, ND where they have made their home since. Florence worked as a Resident Care Technician at the Grafton Developmental Center for almost 20 years, retiring in 2006. She is survived by her husband Raymond, Inkster, ND; children: Paul Umphrey (Toni Demontigny), Grand Forks, ND; Terry Umphrey, Inkster, ND; Tammy (Randy) Pallum, Borup, MN; Robert Umphrey, Richmond, IL; Debbie (Roger Jr.) Ackley, Manvel, ND; 12 grandchildren: Randy Pallum, Jr.; Renae Pallum, Whitney Ackley, Matthew Demontigny, Bruce Umphrey, Nick Ackley, Lena Umphrey, Olivia Umphrey, Ryan Pallum, Aundrea Umphrey, Rilee Pallum, Karly Ackley, great grandson Remington Pallum, siblings: Pete (Sally) Swenson, Shelly, MN; Carl Swenson, Bagley, MN; Edith "Sissy" Campbell, Bagley, MN; Olga Wenneson, Clouquet, MN; Linda (Warren) Bogert, Grafton, ND; Joyce (Mike) Meyers, Bagley, MN; Pearl (Lester) Beck, Bagley, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John and Dwayne Swenson. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Inkster Hall, Inkster, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the hall on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Inkster Cemetery.
